Well, not exactly something new but Google Docs seems to be getting better over time. Just yesterday we were having trouble sharing documents at work and it got me taking a second look at Google Docs as a serious alternative to MS Office. I’ve been using its word processor, spreadsheet and presentation apps for a few months now for private documents and just today I noticed that you can now have offline copies of your files using Google Gears. The need for being constantly connected to use the apps is probably gone and it looks like I could ditch MS Office pretty soon.

I did a quick googling and found out it was announced seven months ago…better late than later eh?
